Description: The RS5 Avant replaces the RS4 and is the first RS model Audi has built as a plug-in hybrid. The familiar 2.9 litre twin-turbo V6 stays, joined by an electric motor, together good for 639 ps and 825 Nm. The real innovation sits at the rear. Audi built a new rear axle transmission that actively distributes torque between the left and right rear wheels. Where quattro until now mainly shifted power front to back, this car pushes itself through a corner from the outside rear wheel.
