The F355 is widely regarded as one of Ferrari’s great modern classics, combining the timeless Pininfarina styling with one of Maranello’s most celebrated V8 engines. The 3.5-litre, five-valve-per-cylinder V8 produces 380 bhp at 8,250 rpm and revs to an intoxicating 8,500 rpm. Ferrari’s introduction of the F1 transmission in 1997 added an electro-hydraulically operated, paddle-shift gearbox derived directly from Formula 1 technology, making the F355 one of the most significant Ferrari road cars of its era.
